Interviewer: [introduction]...What is happening today
กำลังเกิดอะไรขึ้นครับตอนนี้
Thaksin: If the law cannot be enforced. If some groups of people are above the law and all the party concern not clear by rules, government official is not working according to what it's been expected from them as a government official that finishes everything. So I think let the law errh do errh let the law works let the government official do their duty and that's and everyone respect the law. Things will be finished soon.
ถ้า กฏหมายไม่สามารถถูกบังคับใช้ได้ ถ้าคนบางกลุ่มอยู่เหนือกฏหมายและ[party concern อันนี้ไม่แน่ใจว่าทักษิณสื่อถึงอะไร] ไม่มีความชัดแจ้งในกฏหมาย เจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐ (ควรใช้คำว่า government officer หรือเปล่า) ไม่ได้ทำตามที่รัฐบาลต้องการ ทุกอย่างเป็นอันจบ ดังนั้นผมคิดว่าให้เป็นหน้าที่ของกฏหมายทำงาน ให้เจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐทำหน้าที่ของเขาและให้ทุกคนรักษากฏหมาย ทุกอย่างจะจบโดยเร็ว
Interviewer: Seen from outside of Thailand what is the event looked like?
มองเมืองไทยจากภายนอกแล้ว ตอนนี้สถานะการดูเป็นอย่างไร
Thaksin: Well, you know if someone, most of people in Thailand and also outside Thailand _______ that the situation is also strange. The government cannot perform their duty because there are some government official doesn't obey the election of the government even though the government is legally come from the democratically elected government, but they still / they still not respect what the government would order them to do that's really bad an also the so called independent agency or court has been utilized by/ it has been mobilized to bias against the government.
รู้ ไหมว่าถ้าใครบางคน คนส่วนใหญ่ในประเทศไทยและนอกประเทศไทยคิดว่าเหตุการณ์นี้ก็แปลกเหมือนกัน รัฐบาลไม่สามารถที่จะทำหน้าที่ได้ เพราะว่าเจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐบางคนไม่เคารพรัฐบาลที่มาจากการเลือกตั้งแบบ ประชาธิปไตย แต่พวกเขาเหล่านั้นยังไม่เคารพในสิ่งที่รัฐบาลสั่งให้เขาเหล่านั้นทำ สิ่งเหล่านี้แย่มากๆ นอกจากนี้กลุ่มที่เรียกว่าองค์กรอิสระหรือศาลยังถูกใช้ในการต่อต้านรัฐบาล อีกด้วย
Interviewer: What is your message for the Thai Prime Minister

Thaksin: erm well I think you know you have to play by rules the law must must must
ผมคิดว่าเขารู้ว่าเขาต้องเล่นตามกฏและกฏหมาย ต้อง ต้อง ต้อง
Interviewer: Another word, the airport must be reopened.
ควรจะต้องมีการเปิดสนามบินใช่ไหม
Thaksin: The airport must be reopened and those protesters must not just respect the law but the whole citizen of Thailand.
จะต้องมีการเปิดสนามบินอีกครั้ง และผู้ประท้วงไม่เพียงแต่ต้องเคารพกฏหมายแต่ต้องเคารพคนไทยทั้งประเทศด้วย
Interviewer: How do you think will this end and what is going to happen?
คุณคิดว่ามันจะจบไหม และจะเกิดอะไรขึ้นต่อจากนี้
Thaksin: Well you know if there is no one erh...respect the law...then the law enforcement must be done
คือถ้าไม่มีใครเคารพกฏหมาย จะต้องมีการบังคับการใช้กฏหมายแล้วทีนี
Interviewer: Is this dangerous for Thailand, dangerous for the protesters?
มันอันตรายสำหรับเมืองไทย อันตรายสำหรับผู้ประท้วงหรือเปล่า
Thaksin: Dangerous for for for for Thailand... for the stability of the country for the confidence to the country this is gonna be long term effect, if we are not united in Thailand. If the Thai people are not united I would urge that those who involve in somehow to make things errh not work make err make the law cannot be working, so it should be stop doing so.
อันตราย สำหรับคนไทย สำหรับความมั่นคงของประเทศ สำหรับความเชื่อมั่นของประเทศ สิ่งเปล่านี้จะส่งผลกระทบระยะยาว ถ้าเราไม่รวมกันเป็นหนึ่งเดียวในประเทศไทย ถ้าคนไทยไม่รวมกันเป็นหนึ่งเดียว ผมหวังอย่างแรงว่าคนที่ทำให้สิ่งต่างๆ ไม่เป็นไปอย่างที่ควรจะเป็น ไม่ให้กฏหมายทำหน้าที่ คนเหล่านี้ควรจะหยุดซะ
Interviewer: So the protesters shouldn't be at the airport, is that what you were saying?
ดังนั้นกลุ่มผู้ประท้วงไม่ควรอยู่ที่สนามบิน นั่นคือสิ่งที่คุณต้องการจะพูดใช่ไหม
Thaksin: Yes, the protesters must leave the airport and the government official have to do their work
ใช่ กลุ่มผู้ประท้วงควรจะออกจากสนามบินและให้เจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐทำงาน
Interviewer: So the police will do arrest them?
ตำรวจจะจับพวกเขาเหล่านี้หรือเปล่า
Thaksin: The police have to do those who are err you know violate the law must be prosecuted
ตำรวจจะต้องดำเนินคดีกับผู้ที่ไม่ทำตามกฏหมาย
Interviewer: Is there a danger of a coup happening, you think?
จะมีการปฏิวัติเกิดขึ้นหรือเปล่า
Thaksin: Well I think if the coup were to be happen it is gonna be bloodshed. It is not going to be an easy coup like in the past because the people in Thailand now in they are in hardship. They've been since dictatorship come to Thailand and err the whole Thai people are not happy.
ผม คิดว่าถ้าการปฏิวัติจะเกิด มันจะต้องเป็นการปฏิวัติที่รุนแรง มันคงจะไม่ง่ายเหมือนครั้งที่แล้ว เพราะว่าตอนนี้คนไทยไม่พอใจกับสถานะการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นอยู่ตอนนี้ คนไทยรู้สึกแบบนี้ตั้งแต่ที่มีการปฏิวัติแล้ว
Interviewer: What is your message for your supporter?
มีข้อความอะไรถึงคนที่สนับสนุนคุณหรือเปล่าครับ
Thaksin: Well I'd like to urge them erh to protect democracy. You know, in protecting the democracy, you may be painful for a while, but not for long, but if you allow dictatorship to to to take over the democracy in Thailand, that's gonna be your, you're gonna be have nightmare for whole life
ผม อยากจะขอให้คนที่สนับสนุนผมปกป้องประชาธิปไทย คุณรู้ไหมว่าในการปกป้องประชาธิปไตยนั้น คุณอาจจะมีการเจ็บบ้างเพียงขณะหนึ่ง แต่ไม่นานนัก แต่ถ้าคุณให้กลุ่มผู้ประท้วงเหล่านั้นเทคโอเวอร์ความเป็นประชาธิปไตยใน ประเทศไทย นั่นจะทำให้คุณฝันร้ายไปชั่วชีวิต
Interviewer: and the message to the military?
ข้อความถึงกองทัพละครับ
Thaksin: Errrh they are government official. Their salary is paid by tax payer money though they have to do whatever which of the whole citizen not just for a minority group.
เขาก็เป็นเจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐเหมือนกัน เงินเดือนของพวกเขาก็ได้มาจากภาษีของประชาชน พวกเขาต้องทำตามคนส่วนใหญ่ไม่ใช่กลุ่มคนส่วนน้อย
Interviewer: So another word they must respect the democracy
หรืออีกคำหนึ่งคือ ทหารต้องเคารพประชาธิปไทยใช่ไหม
Thaksin: They must respect the democracy. They must play by rules. They must do their work. Being neutral is not just you are doing nothing. Being neutral is mean that you have to observe the law, do whatever it benefits the whole country.
พวก เขาต้องเคารพประชาธิปไตย ต้องเล่นตามกฏ ต้องทำหน้าที่ของพวกเขา การเป็นกลางไม่ได้หมายความว่าไม่ทำอะไรเลย การเป็นกลางหมายความว่าคุณต้องทำการสังเกตสถานะการณ์ให้เป็นไปตามกฎหมาย และทำในสิ่งที่จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อประเทศ
