I left Bangkok on Saturday, two days after streets in Bangkok were blockaded. There was no internet connection at my grandparents' house, thus, I had to follow the situation through public channels. My heart sank watching the protesters broke a glass door and occupied the hotel where the ASEAN summit was held. The summit had been cancelled then all leaders left the country. At this point, I thought PM Abhisit had come to the end of his career. I was wondering if PM Abhisit could handle the situation. The protesters moved back to Bangkok and a new chaos restarted. The worse was the police and some parts of the soldiers were doubted to be under the influence of former PM Thaksin. It was very tense and made me hardly slept. I had followed PM Abhisit's every address. I believe that a lot of thais were doing so.
The troops started to quell the protesters on early on Sunday [12th Apr] morning and it ended yesterday [14th Apr]. Two people were shot to dead by the red-shirted protesters and many buses were used to block the troops and later burnt down. The city is now almost back to normal but the state of emergency has not yet been withdrawn.
The red-shirted interviewees said that they would come back to protest for their so-called democracy. From what have just happened to the city, I think they should learn more about it. Also they should learn how to analyse information from medias and more over from their beloved leaders and former PM, Thaksin Shinawatra.

It has not yet ended even the streets in Bangkok is now (2046H) back to normal. I just came back from outside and the traffic on the street in the front of my apartment could flow normally. News has also reported that the Victory Monument is now clear from the protesters as well. However, the red-shirted protesters gathered this morning in Pattaya, where the ASEAN summit was held, and tried to interupt the meeting. A red-shirted leader in Bangkok announced that most of the summit participants had cancelled to join. Later, the news reported that the particaipants had been brought to the summit through an unknow way (Ah! I love my brilliant PM). In the afternoon, the protesters had handed a letter to a participants' agent, thus, stopped their attempt to break through.
PAD has told the yellow-shirted members to stay clear from the situation, which I agree. Taking part might have caused violence through the country. I think PM Abhisit's law enforcement is on the way and stongly believe that he could run the summit to the end.

As I expected, the traffic in Bangkok has been paralysed since the rush hours started. One of my friends called me and told me that her company had told all employees to go back home as they might have been hold on traffic. After work I went to the gym near my office and while I was waiting for the bus, there was a huge thunder storm, lightening could be seen. This is not a good luck to the protesters. The traffic was very bad. The bus took very long time to move. I had decided to get off and walked. On the way to a motorcycle taxi I saw a group of about 10 to 20 red shirt protesters blocking the intersection between Sukhumvit and Rama IV road. They were shouting something through the noisy traffic. One of them waving national flag. I have arrived home safely, watching the news now.
Ratchawithi Hospital and others near the Victory Monument have been affected from the traffic blockage. Patients who have appointments with the hospitals tomorrow will be diverted to others. Only ambulances are allowed to go in and out, but still be checked by the protesters, thus causes delay.
I am now waiting for PM Abhisit's address for the action to solve this situation. Here he comes...

Yesterday the red shirt protesters did not seem to be powerful. Their demands to the King's senior advisers and PM Abhisit have been denied. I just watched the news and have been informed that the red shirt protesters are now spreading to many streets in Bangkok and blocking traffic including the victory monument round about, the busiest round about in the capital. The news also reports their plan of moving to Pattaya to interfere the coming ASEAN summits and occupying the government house. The city is going to be more chaotic as the evening rush hours are going to start. I think they are going to be more violent before the end of this week when people (including themselves) need to go back to their home town outside the capital during Thai New Year.

I woke up at 0500H. Turned the TV on and kept my eyes on the news about the red shirt protesters while preparing my breakfast and lunch. I later went swimming at the office, back to my desk and updated news on several websites. I have been following the news for hours and hours willing to know what would happen to this country and to us as the protesters have claimed that today was their d-day.
The red shirt leaders has convinced people to gather today, boasting there would be 300,000 people. Until now there are just about 30,000 of them amass near Privy Councillor Gen Prem's residence. Navin's speech opposed Thaksin yesterday has been analysed that it indicates the weakness of former PM Thaksin.
On the other hand, Thaksin's ex-wife and children have flown out of the country. The news has been confirmed. He has video-linked to convince people to gather today to protest, but his family has already left!
Until the end of this week, if the red shirt leaders do not have a good strategy, which I think they don't, it is going to be difficult for them to gather more people after Songkran (the Thai New Year) as the matter of money and as the matter of fact that Thaksin has been fighting for himself not for democracy as he says.

Yesterday PM Abhisit Vejjajiva's car has been attacked at Pattaya after a cabinet meeting by the red shirts, former PM Thaksin Shinawatra supporters. The driver of PM Abisit has almost been dragged out of the car. The securities of the hotel, where the meeting took place, have tried to keep the protesters out. The PM's car later safely sped away. I watched the analysis from ASTV last night and they pointed out several curiousities about what had happened to the PM yesterday.1.Why the street was not cleared from the protesters and traffic?PM Abhisit said that he did not need anymore security. Oh! come on, if something have happened to you yesterday, which almost have, who else would suit your seat now?
2.Why weren there just a few police to keep out all the protesters? Yesterday, the hotel securities did this job instead.
3.Why the over all security in town seemed to be so lose?
The red shirts are not those who can be logically talked to and former PM Thaksin would do anything to get him back in power. The peak of the crisis has already come.

เมื่อวานอ่านบล็อกของหลายๆ คนแล้วกล่าวถึงพระจันทร์เมื่อคืนวาน ซึ่งมาอ่านคำตัดสินของศาลรัฐธรรมนูญเมื่อเช้านี้แล้ว ทำให้รู้ว่าความงามของพระจันทร์เมื่อคืนนั้นเป็นลางดีของฝ่ายไหน ว่าแต่ว่าตามความรู้สึกของผม ห้าปีนี่ผมว่ามันยังน้อยไป กลับมาว่าเรื่องของพระจันทร์ต่อ เหตุการณ์ของพระจันทร์เมื่อคืนที่เป็นที่สนใจของนักดาราศาสตร์คือการเกิด Occultation of Vinus ซึ่งหมายถึงการบดบังดาวศุกร์ของดวงจันทร์นั่นเอง เหตุการณ์นี้เป็นที่สังเกตเห็นได้ในยุโรปเช่นกัน จากในรูปจะเห็นดาวศุกร์อย่างชัดเจนทางด้านบนของดวงจันทร์ ซึ่งเป็นด้านมืด ปรากฏการณ์นี้เรียกว่า "the old moon in the young moom's arms" และเมื่อมองรวมกับดาวพฤหัสเหนือขอบฟ้าด้านตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ จะมองเห็นเหมือนรูปหน้าคนยิ้ม ในการสังเกตการเกิดเหตุการณ์นี้เป็นเวลาประมาณ 15.45 นาฬิกา ในลอนดอน ซึ่งตรงกับเวลา 22.45 นาฬิกาตามเวลาในประเทศไทย ณ เวลาดังกล่าวดาวศุกร์จะอยู๋บริเวณเหนือพระจันทร์ไปทางด้านซ้าย ส่วนการบดบังดาวศุกร์เริ่มเวลา 17.16 นาฬิกา ตามเวลาในลอนดอน ซึ่งตอนนั้นเวลาในประเทศไทยก็ 00.16 นาฬิกา ซึ่งก็เลยหลังเที่ยงคืนไปแล้ว ผมไม่แน่ใจนะครับว่าในเมืองไทยได้เห็นหรือเปล่าหรือว่าพระจันทร์ลับขอบฟ้าไปแล้วตอนที่เหตุการณ์นี้เกิดขึ้น ข้อมูลและภาพนำมาจาก "The Society for Popular Astronomy" ครับ

If some groups of people are above the law and all the party concern not clear by rules, government official is not working according to what it's been expected from them as a government official that finishes everything. So I think let the law errh do errh let the law works let the government official do their duty and that's and everyone respect the law. Things will be finished soon.

Thaksin: Well, you know if someone, most of people in Thailand and also outside Thailand _______ that the situation is also strange. The government cannot perform their duty because there are some government official doesn't obey the election of the government even though the government is legally come from the democratically elected government, but they still / they still not respect what the government would order them to do that's really bad an also the so called independent agency or court has been utilized by/ it has been mobilized to bias against the government.

Thaksin: Dangerous for for for for Thailand... for the stability of the country for the confidence to the country this is gonna be long term effect, if we are not united in Thailand. If the Thai people are not united I would urge that those who involve in somehow to make things errh not work make err make the law cannot be working, so it should be stop doing so.

Thaksin: Well I'd like to urge them erh to protect democracy. You know, in protecting the democracy, you may be painful for a while, but not for long, but if you allow dictatorship to to to take over the democracy in Thailand, that's gonna be your, you're gonna be have nightmare for whole life
ผม อยากจะขอให้คนที่สนับสนุนผมปกป้องประชาธิปไทย คุณรู้ไหมว่าในการปกป้องประชาธิปไตยนั้น คุณอาจจะมีการเจ็บบ้างเพียงขณะหนึ่ง แต่ไม่นานนัก แต่ถ้าคุณให้กลุ่มผู้ประท้วงเหล่านั้นเทคโอเวอร์ความเป็นประชาธิปไตยใน ประเทศไทย นั่นจะทำให้คุณฝันร้ายไปชั่วชีวิต

Thaksin: Errrh they are government official. Their salary is paid by tax payer money though they have to do whatever which of the whole citizen not just for a minority group.
เขาก็เป็นเจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐเหมือนกัน เงินเดือนของพวกเขาก็ได้มาจากภาษีของประชาชน พวกเขาต้องทำตามคนส่วนใหญ่ไม่ใช่กลุ่มคนส่วนน้อย

Thaksin: They must respect the democracy. They must play by rules. They must do their work. Being neutral is not just you are doing nothing. Being neutral is mean that you have to observe the law, do whatever it benefits the whole country.

Thaksin: Errrh they are government official. Their salary is paid by tax payer money though they have to do whatever which of the whole citizen not just for a minority group.
เขาก็เป็นเจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐเหมือนกัน เงินเดือนของพวกเขาก็ได้มาจากภาษีของประชาชน พวกเขาต้องทำตามคนส่วนใหญ่ไม่ใช่กลุ่มคนส่วนน้อย
Interviewer: So another word they must respect the democracy
หรืออีกคำหนึ่งคือ ทหารต้องเคารพประชาธิปไทยใช่ไหม
Thaksin: They must respect the democracy. They must play by rules. They must do their work. Being neutral is not just you are doing nothing. Being neutral is mean that you have to observe the law, do whatever it benefits the whole country.
พวก เขาต้องเคารพประชาธิปไตย ต้องเล่นตามกฏ ต้องทำหน้าที่ของพวกเขา การเป็นกลางไม่ได้หมายความว่าไม่ทำอะไรเลย การเป็นกลางหมายความว่าคุณต้องทำการสังเกตสถานะการณ์ให้เป็นไปตามกฎหมาย และทำในสิ่งที่จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อประเทศ
